Essential Extraction Consulting - Nick Tanem
Essential Extracts California owner Nick "Nikka T" Tanem serves as a cannabis visionary, educator, public speaker, processor, activist and artist.
Originally a native of The Bay Area, California, Nikka T moved to Colorado to continue his professional board sport aspirations and attend CU Boulder, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007. Nikka T spent the next decade in Denver, Colorado where he founded Essential Extracts, the first licensed Solventless Extraction facility in the United States. Nikka T played a key role in the early spread and adoption of the term ‘solventless,’ helping define the language and standards that shaped the modern non‑solvent extraction movement. From extraction, to cultivation, and dispensaries, Nikka T has owned and operated multiple fully licensed and compliant businesses under the legal systems in Colorado since day one of medical legalization.
Nikka T is the proud winner of 10+ Cannabis Cups with his Essential team and another 100+ won by clients using his Essential Bag Design and techniques.
In 2017, Nikka T returned to his Bay Area roots, bringing his vision and brand home with the launch of Essential Extracts California. Since then, he has continued expanding Essential Extracts, including new operations in New Jersey, offering 100% solventless concentrates, staying true to the same standards Nikka T has upheld since day one.
